Bruins Game 27 Recap: The Bruins were about as successful at hockey tonight as this title is at being concise.

When the Bruins went up by two super-early in the game tonight, you might’ve been ecstatic to see them do it. But if you were a Sporting Nerd, you might have had an uneasy feeling somewhere in the back of your mind that they’d just given themselves ample time to blow said lead. And blow it they did, surrendering four in the second period and seven by the end of the night. According to Jack Edwards, the most Tuukka Rask has ever given up in a regular season game. In case that wasn’t bad enough, they also lost. See, asking this year’s Bruins to score more than two goals usually means they’re doomed. Tonight? Doomed. So doomed.

How did this happen? Can it be prevented? I don’t know. The one time the Bruins found some offense they instantly lost their defense and suffered the most embarrassing loss of the entire trip. It’s easy to just write off the team and the rest of the trip and say that we don’t care after the way this week has gone. But remember that we’re only a third of the way through the year, and, well, it can get better. I’m pretty sure. Maybe it won’t but maybe it can. The next game is Saturday in Phoenix. The way things have been recently nothing is guaranteed, but tune in.
