Bruins Game 19 Recap: I like winning streaks more than losing ones.

So after last week’s debacle in Canada, the Bruins have themselves a 2-game win streak against a bad team and one of the best teams. Beats losing, right? Better news though, against one of the best teams in the league they played superlative defense and mustered just enough offense to score a decisive win on their own ice. That’s not bad.

The first goal came on a lucky break, sure. But the team capitalized and that’s all you can ask. The second came on a Torey Krug shot from the circle that found its way past Brian Elliot to give Boston it’s permanent 2-0 lead. After that it was all defense and Tuukka Rask. Honestly, it felt more comfortable than you’d expect most 2-0 leads to feel, but that’s what having some of the best defenders in hockey can do for you. On the negative side of things, Adam McQuaid left the game after he blocked a shot and hasn’t been heard from since. Maybe he was eaten by wolves? Who can say. Next up is a rare Friday night game in Columbus. Tune in.
