Red Sox Game 64 Recap: Oh, hey, we won!

Highest WPA: Brandon Workman, probably around like .35? (6.2 IP, H, 0 R, 4 K, BB)
Lowest WPA: Xander Bogaerts, I guess? (0-4, 5 LOB)

FanGraphs is being weird, so you get this. And the game was rain delayed twice, so I played a whole bunch of FIFA. But Sportspun went to bed, Robbie got arrested, and Jared fell into the Springfield Mystery Spot, so this is the recap you get.

Credit to Workman, I guess, for coming back after the delays and pitching extremely well. Many other pitchers, perhaps pitchers more integral to the plans of a team that wishes to contend, would have been pulled, but Workman is just shitty disposable tough enough to take the ball again, I guess.

What’s that? Eighth inning of Game 6 of the World Series last year? Nope, doesn’t ring a bell.

Anyway, Mike Napoli did a thing, which is awesome. And Brock Holt had a couple of singles, which is annoying only because it perpetuates the notion that he’s worthy of playing time. But hey, if he keeps up this BABIP luck, we might be able to trade him for Jake Peavy!
