Bruins Game 73 Recap: The Bruins are divsion champions, nyeah nyeah.

A convincing win over last year’s Stanley Cup Champions was what it took to clinch the Atlantic Division for the first time under the new format and make the Bruins the home team throughout at least the first two rounds of the playoffs. Patrice Bergeron scored two goals, Tuukka Rask got the shutout, and the team won the game quite handily.

So there you have it. The B’s are first in the division and only have to play .500 hockey for the rest of the season to beat the Penguins for the best record in the East. The Bruins are good, the Bruins are really good. This only proves it. The St. Louis Blues are a point ahead of the Bruins for the best record in the entire league, in case you were wondering. So if you want to look that far ahead, the Bruins do have one more team to pass to guarantee home ice in every round of the playoffs. Next up is a 12:30 game against the Capitals in DC on Saturday. It’s still hockey even if it seems less urgent, so tune in!
