Bruins Game 69 Recap: Ten! Ten straight wins! Ah-ah-ah!

Are the Bruins peaking too soon?

No, idiot. They’re winning hockey games in a playoff race and are setting themselves up for a #1 or #2 seed in March instead of making us wait until mid-April to see how things are going to turn out. Tonight the Bruins act went back on the road to New Jersey’s traditionally half-filled building. A shorthanded goal by Brad Marchand in the second period, followed by a tally less than a minute later by my new personal mancrush Jarome Iginla were all it took to send the Devils spiraling further out of the postseason picture. Chad Johnson continued to be surprisingly solid as a backup while Martin Brodeur is just…. old.

Anyhow, the next Bruins game is on Friday night against the Avalanche. Colorado has gone from one of the worst teams in the league last year to one of the best this year. Must be the we…..ird nature of the sport under the salary cap structure. Can the Bruins make it 11 straight? I dunno, I think so.
