Red Sox Game 124 recap: This is terrible.

Highest WPA: Whoever gets to .000.
Lowest WPA: Felix Doubront, let’s say -.500.

Remember last night’s recap, when I said this series loomed as a turning point, and we could very easily put the crappy road trip behind us? And hey, this was the best pitching matchup of the series, with us avoiding Kuroda and not starting Dempster, so it’ll probably be the optimistic spin on that, no?

Nope. Instead, my new mindset is this: Sunday will be the seven-year anniversary of the first game of New York’s five-game sweep at Fenway. By comparison, we should feel great, right? …right?

Anybody?
