Red Sox Game 13 recap: Ubbbbbbbbbbaldo

Highest WPA: Mike Napoli, .148
Lowest WPA: Daniel Nava, -.064

After umpiring a Little League game, I got into my car just in time to hear Mike Napoli drive in the fifth, sixth, and seventh runs in what was an impressive second inning. Turns out those would be the last Red Sox runs of the game, as well as the last meaningful plate appearance. Felix Doubront labored through five innings, and the two crappy long guys (well, the two that aren’t starting tomorrow) did well enough to keep the good pen from having to get into the game. Ace goes tomorrow, which should be…well, let’s just say “Ace goes tomorrow” and leave it at that. I’d like to get through a recap of a win without predicting immediate gloom and doom for the days to come.
