Game 138 Recap: The PawSox won tonight!

Highest WPA: Cody Ross, .153
Lowest WPA: Ryan Lavarnway, -.322

The Regular Sox however did not. Last time Ryan Cook pitched in Seattle, he threw that ridiculous complete-game shutout. This time he was also good, and even uncharacteristically struck out the side in one inning. But alas, where he got two runs of support in his last outing in Seattle, this time he got only one, and the Red Sox ended up losing a one-run game to put an end to their one-game winning streak. Despite Bobby Valentine’s rant earlier today, this makes for a 1-8 road trip and sends the team home a full 12 games under .500. At this rate, the team’s first losing season since 1997 seems pretty much like a lock. But at least they’re rebuilding, right? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
