Game 83 recap: Crappy bullpen remembers it is crappy

These eight runs should tide us over til after the break

Highest WPA: Adrian Gonzalez, .126
Lowest WPA: Vicente Padilla, -.386

Turns out that putting high-leverage situations in the hands of Vicente Padilla and Andrew Miller is a bad idea. Real shocker, that.

The really good team with the great lineup beat the good team with the crappy lineup and the 23-man-and-Brent-Lillibridge roster. If this is news to you, you either haven’t been paying attention or you believe that any given game between any two teams, regardless of skill, is essentially a coin flip. Which, hey, it might be. But the better team won tonight, just like they’re going to win twice tomorrow and then again on Sunday. This season blows.
