Well, at least this doesn’t have the worst hitter leading off again. That said, Will Middlebrooks’ poorly timed hamstring injury has left the Sox with a really bad bottom third of the lineup, and it has some people laughing at the fact that they traded away Kevin Youkilis. This ignores the fact that Youk has a whopping .528 OPS since going to Chicago, but people who thought Kevin Youkilis should play third base were never going to listen to reason anyway.

Dice gets the ball tonight. Hopefully a weak offense, a big park and an extra day of rest will allow him to go somewhat deep into the game; the pen’s been worked a little hard the last few days. It would also be nice if we could score some runs now that we’re freed from the ball-murdering confines of Safeco.
